Tickets are now on sale for our annual Charity Concert at the Dean Tavern, Newtongrange. £7 each ( Stovie supper ) 7-30pm prompt start. This year St Columba's Hospice will benifit from all proceeds from the night.

 

December 2018

At Our AGM Jim Weatherston retired from the committee after many many years of sevice. Jim held various posts during this term, Booking Secretary, Treasurer and Club Secretary. He was made an Honoury Life Member for his efforts.  His wife May, has  returned to the fold after a years absense and was elected Club Secretary once again. The rest of the committee were re-elected by members after a vote.

 

November 2018

   Our Song Competition winner this year was Ian Young with a moving song about the   Mauricewood Pit disaster. Well done Ian, two years on the trot.

The winner of the most humerous song trophy was Charlie Boyle.

Thanks to all who entered songs.

 

April 2018

 This years Poetry Competition was won jointly by Anne Young and Malcolm Hughes

 Well done to both and to all contestants who entered.

 

March 31st 2018

           This year, St Columba's Hospice will benifit to the tune of £500 as our annual Charity  Concert raised £480 with the Club rounding it up. The concert was again well attended and was greatly enjoyed by the audience, going by the compliments paid at the end of the night. Thanks to all who contributed to another very successful evening.
